Duck Commander Debuts the Catahoula Cut
The new Duck Commander Catahoula Cut double-reed cutdown call has an MSRP of $169.99 per call, and as we mentioned, is now available on Duck Commander’s webhttps://wildernessgeargrid.com/. The Louisiana-style cut that it was produced in is meant to deliver that classic bark, rasp, and range that cutdown callers expect. Additionally, you can easily achieve low end, crisp, attention-grabbing high notes, too. So, it has quite a spectrum of utility and use while out in the field.
If you’re new to waterfowl calling, the Catahoula Cut is also meant to be more forgiving (easier to use). So, it can still produce quality sounds while you’re catching your learning curve. This call is machined from high-quality acrylic in a custom ultra-dark brown colorway, which is meant to pay homage to Louisiana’s nutrient-rich backwaters.

Final Thoughts
The new Duck Commander Catahoula Cut double-reed cutdown call might not be affordable for new or inexperienced waterfowl hunters, but is is meant to be so easy to use that anyone could pick it up and be able to successfully use it in the field. It falls into that category of quality over quantity: buy this one call and you might be set for life as opposed to buying a half dozen cheap ones before you finally break down and buy a really good one (like this).
